Our
New Software/Closing Disclosure Solution
Just a reminder
that you should be making plans to upgrade to our new software,
Standard
Conveyancer Closing Center. It's got a new modern look,
it's easy to learn and use, and it runs on all
Windows 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Closing Center is installed
on your network, so your data is always safe and under your
control.
Closing
Center is your SC for the future, and it's Standard's platform for the CFPB's new Closing
Disclosure forms.
Standard
Solutions will be at the REBA conference on Monday, May 4th.
If you are there, please stop by and see Closing Center, including
a version with a prototype Closing Disclosure screen installed.
Or, check out the screen
presentation of Closing Center on our web site.
Standard
Conveyancer users can upgrade to Closing Center now, to get
started using it ahead of the update this summer
for the Closing Disclosure. We install the program for you by remote connection
and link it to your current SC data so it has all your old closings
and custom documents. Afterwards we give you a walk-through
of the program, which takes only about a half-hour.
Please follow the news at our TILA-RESPA
Integrated Disclosures (TRID) Center for additional information
through the coming months.
Concerned
about Closing Insight?
Closing
Insight is a new web portal through which lenders can exchange
information and documents with settlement agents. Some of the
larger software companies are working on integrating with
Closing Insight, but it is absolutely clear that your settlement
software does not need to be integrated for you to work with
lenders who use it. Any settlement agent can work with lenders
who use Closing Insight through the web portal.
We will
be looking at integration in the future, but we expect lenders
will adopt a wide variety of tools to collaborate with you in
producing the new Closing Disclosure forms. For now, we are
focused on upgrading clients to our new software and readying
the new forms for this summer.

Integrated
Disclosures QuickFact
While it's
based on the HUD-1 and TIL forms, the new Closing Disclosure is
not called the HUD-1. Responsibility for RESPA has been moved
from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to
the CFPB.
SC Closing Center QuickFact
Closing
Center is based on Standard's HUD-1 screens you have been using
since 2010, which makes it very easy to learn. It
runs on 64-bit and 32-bit Windows computers. For most offices,
we can have you up and running and trained on Closing Center in
about an hour!
