As
you know by now, the new RESPA regulation requires you use the
new
HUD-1 settlement statement for closings originated with
the new Good Faith Estimate. This capability is included in
the newest versions of our software.
Standard
Conveyancer 2010 and Standard HUD & Title 2010
will be made available as you need it throughout the months
of November and December. Standard Conveyancer users will get
their update from our Web site. Standard HUD & Title users
will get their update through their Auto-Updater.
Training
will be available. Watch for future notices or check Standard's
RESPA Center for more information on using the new HUD-1
or to see the updated program screens. Standard Conveyancer
users will get a new format for their 2010
HUD-1 screens that represents the first step in a migration
to a new and more modern look for the program.
As
of this date, none of our clients has needed the update yet.
If you have a lender who is planning to switch to the new GFE
in November, please let us know so we can get your update installed
as soon as possible. If you already have a good understanding
of how the new HUD-1 and GFE are supposed to be used and you
would like to participate in reviewing our final testing, please
call us at (781) 324-0550.
What
you will need to do ahead of time:
1.
Verify that your program is updated to the current version (SC
users only). Click Help, then About, then About
Standard Conveyancer. It should be version 10.20.8.
2.
Check your computer system (Right-click your "My Computer"
icon, then Properties). For the new programs you need
to have Windows 2000 or higher. Our testing has shown that a
processor speed of 1 Ghz or better is recommended.
3.
Verify your account status. You must be current on your Maintenance
& Support Plan to receive the program update. If you are
not current or if you need to check your status, please call
Cheryl Walsh at (781) 324-0550.
