Download Standard Conveyancer Auto-Updater Program - December, 2007

This update must be downloaded and installed from a Standard Conveyancer Windows 2000 or Windows XP workstation. If you have a Novell network, or have only Windows 98 or ME workstations, please do not proceed without first contacting us at (781) 324-0550.

Install the Auto-Updater on one workstation only -- it will update your entire network. Please be patient and do not interrupt the update process once it begins.

Once the Auto-Updater Module installs, it will automatically download and install for you the new ALTA 2006 title insurance forms that your firm is licensed to use with Standard Conveyancer. These forms are meant to replace your old schedules, and should only be used with 2006 on-line or paper jackets.

The installed Auto-Updater Module must be able to communicate with our product licensing database service to determine what to download for you. In some cases a firewall or other security software might stop the program. The Auto-Updater programs are called cxSCInstallStart.exe and cxLaupd1.exe. When prompted, you need to Allow these programs to run.

If you have other programs running during the installation, the installer messages may pop up behind other program windows and you will not see them. Look for new items appearing on your taskbar. Your office can continue to work in Standard Conveyancer while the Auto-Updater is installing and while it is downloading updates, but it is important to stay out of the Document Setup or Title Insurance Setup screens (found under the Info menu) while it is running.
