Avoiding
Computer Operating Problems
Often
computer and software performance issues can be solved by rebooting
your computer. Similarly, many performance problems can be avoided
simply by shutting off your computer at night.
Shutting
down your computer clears out problems that have developed during
the day and prevents processes from deteriorating during the
night. It also protects your hardware and software against power
fluctuations caused by electrical surges or brownouts, and it
saves electricity!
If
you need to leave your computer on during the night, the next
best thing is to restart it before you begin working.
To
protect software from damage caused by crashes or electrical problems,
do not leave any software running during the night that is not
being used.

QuickTip:
Changing
the font
size on
the HUD-1 screen
You
can adjust the font size on the HUD-1 screens to make it easier
to read.
While
on the HUD-1 screen, click the View menu, then Toolbars,
then Fonts and Colors. The default is 10 pts, but if you
have a large high-resolution monitor, you should try 13 or 14.
This
only changes how the screen looks, not how the HUD-1 prints.
