On
December 31st we sent out a message with a link to download
and install our new Auto-Updater Module. Included were instructions
and system requirements. If you did not see the message you
can read
it and start your download here.
Some
additional things to be aware of:
The
names and format of the loan and owner's policies have changed.
In the past, to generate policies you have merged separate documents
for Schedules A, B and B II. The new policy schedules are single,
combined Schedule A, B, B II/Exhibit A documents -- TI__SPL
and TI__SPO (SPL = "Standard Policy Loan"). The extended
coverage policies documents (Eagle, Gold, Castle, etc. policies)
have for the most part not changed, and still have separate
Schedules A, B and B II.
Some
offices have reported that their document settings for RESPAMW
have changed after the update and the document is no longer
in their HUD-1 batch. If you click the HUD-1 batch, then
Merge, and get nothing, then your setting needs to be
changed back. This only need to be done once for your entire
network:
- Click
the Info Menu, then Document Setup.
- Click
List and scroll to RESPAMW, then press <Enter>
on your keyboard twice.
- Click
to check the "Eligible for Automatic Selection"
checkbox.
- Click
OK and save changes.
The
AutoUpdater needs to be installed on only one workstation
in your Standard Conveyancer network. If one of your workstations
is a peer-to-peer server for the others, then the peer-to-peer
server workstation is the best choice.
All
users can continue to work in Standard Conveyancer while the
AutoUpdater is installing and while documents are being downloaded,
but everyone must stay off of the Document Setup and Title Insurance
Setup screens (found under the Info menu).
All
title insurance packages that were approved by the underwriter
state offices by December 28th are available through the Auto-Updater.
Within the next day or so, the ALTA 2006 News
Blog will be updated with a list of these packages.
