Today
is the early sign-up discount deadline for Standard's 1099-S
Year-End Processing. All you need to do is get the sign-up form
and payment in the mail today. If you'd like, you can fax us
a copy of the form as well, but we need the original by mail.
To
print the sign-up form, go to the fee, deadline, and early sign-up discount information,
review it, and click the link at the bottom of the page. If
you've never taken advantage of our Year-End Processing service
in the past, click here first for more information.
Before
the end of December, you will be able to download and install
our new Auto-Updater program. Its first use will be to deliver
the new title insurance packages and other document updates,
including documents revised for the new Massachusetts formatting
rules for recording.
For
a long time now we've been encouraging everyone to get their
Standard Conveyancer updated to the latest version and ready
for the new title packages. To run the Auto-Updater and to merge
the new title policy documents, your Standard Conveyancer needs
to be at version 10.20.6, and set up to merge with
MS Word.
To
check your Standard Conveyancer version, click Help,
then About, then About Standard Conveyancer.
You
can quickly update to 10.20.6 from any version between
10.20 and 10.20.5. In Standard Conveyancer, click Help,
then SC on the Web, then Check for Web Updates.
To
update to 10.20 from an older Standard Conveyancer version (9,
10, 10.1, 10.3, or 10.31), you need to run your 10.20 Update
CD. From version 10.20, you will then be able to complete
your update to 10.20.6 in one step through our Check for
Web Updates system.
If
you can not locate your 10.20 Update CD or if something is preventing
you from installing it, it is imperative that you contact
us right away. Our records indicate that there are still
about 50 client offices that have not run the Update CD. If
there are large numbers of offices that still need to be updated
by the end of the year, we cannot guarantee that we will be
able help everyone that needs it in the final days before the
January 1st deadline for use of the new documents.
