United
General Title will begin distribution of their ALTA 2006 policy
jackets starting this week. The new policy forms are available
from Standard Solutions and should be downloaded at the time
you will start using the new jackets. The new forms will replace
your current forms.
Installation
of the New Forms/Program Requirements:
Please
call or e-mail us
when you receive your new United General ALTA 2006 jackets and
you need the new forms.
As
has been the case for some time now, all current program updates
require that you have Standard Conveyancer version 10.20
or higher. Click Help, then About, then About
Standard Conveyancer to determine your current version.
All
client offices received our version 10.20 update on CD-ROM by
last September at the latest. If your office has not yet installed
the update please contact us immediately.
Status
on Other New Forms Packages:
Over
the past month we have received most of the remaining underwriter
forms packages. Due to the timing of their arrival, it will
take time to get through them all, but we are working toward
getting them ready as soon as possible. As with United General
and First American, it's likely that we we will coordinate the
delivery of these policy forms with the underwriters' delivery
of the policy jackets. Please visit our ALTA
2006 News Blog for news of additional packages becoming
available.
Please
remember that when you ask us to install a new policy forms
package, the new forms will REPLACE your current ones.
As long as you are still using the 1992 jackets you should continue
to use the forms you already have in your Standard Conveyancer
system.
