Two Document/Program Updates Available:

Two new updates are available for download from the Standard Conveyancer Updates page on our Web site. Downloading takes just a few minutes from a Standard Conveyancer workstation with Internet access. All workstations automatically take advantage of updates installed from a single workstation.

  » Cumulative IRS Forms Package for 2006

This IRS forms update contains the latest revisions of IRS Forms 4506 and 4506-T, 8821, 1099-S, W9 and W9 Instructions. In addition, programs for easier handling of individual 1099-S information will be installed if needed.

Most of these forms have been available through previous updates, but installing this update will ensure that your firm has the latest versions of all IRS documents available for Standard Conveyancer.

  » Carbon Monoxide Detector Certification and Indemnity Agreement

Our new combined "Smoke Detector and Carbon Monoxide Detector Certification and Indemnity Agreement" ("SmoCMCIA") is based on the format of our existing smoke detector document ("SmokeCIA"). It will self-install into your Closing batch and will leave "SmokeCIA" document in place, but suppressed (black) so it will not print.

Quick Tip for 1099-S filings:

Speaking of the IRS, it's never too early to start thinking about next year's 1099-S filing. If you are considering using Standard Solutions' Year-End Processing Service, be sure to mark your files when you issue 1099s!

On the Financial Information screen, use the "1099" checkbox to confirm that you DID issue a 1099-S for that closing (that the seller was not exempt). Please remember that the checkbox should only be checked AFTER the you have printed your closing package and the 1099s for that closing.
